Mark Pitzer

Mr. Pitzer has been in the real estate industry in the Dallas area for over 30 years. As a principal of Windsor Management, he acquired over $150M in real estate assets consisting of land, mini-warehouse, apartments and office buildings. Mr. Pitzer operated a portfolio of over 4,000 apartments and 1M square feet of office property in the Dallas Ft. Worth area until all of the properties were sold in 2007. Mr. Pitzer brings both an expansive real estate knowledge of different product types as well as an owner’s perspective for operations.

Michael W. Slaughter is a Partner and Principal of New Providence Capital. Mr. Slaughter began his real estate career in 2004 as Co-Founder and Managing Director of INCAP Financial Group, a real estate private equity fund backed by a partnership with JP Morgan. Over the years, he has raised seven funds and deployed over $300 million across a wide range of real estate development projects.
Mr. Slaughter is a native of Dallas where he lives with his wife and three children. He holds a BA in Economics from The Colorado College and an MBA in Finance from the Cox School of Business at Southern Methodist University.
Stephanie Ochel is the Director of Investor Relations for New Providence Capital. She graduated from the University of Arkansas with a BSBA in finance and banking. Mrs. Ochel worked in commercial lending for 3 years before starting her 11-year career as a bond trader. She was Vice President of Mortgage-Backed Securities trading at Southwest Securities in 2004 when she decided to take a break in her career to become a stay-at-home mom. She joined New Providence Capital in 2020.
Mrs. Ochel is married and lives in Dallas with her husband and two teenage children.
Cassey Stephens
Mrs. Stephens is the newest member of the New Providence Capital team. She previously spent many years in public education administration, specializing in technology services and support. As a technology lead in her district, she mentored and trained specialists across multiple schools. Mrs. Stephens chose to pivot careers to professional services and uses the multi-tasking and organization skills she leveraged in education as our Director of Operations. Mrs. Stephens grew up in Arizona and moved to Dallas at the beginning of her career where she still resides with her husband and two children.

Mr. Smith is currently a fixed income Portfolio Manager for a registered investment advisor. Prior to that, Chris was the founder and Managing Member of Augment Advisory and Capital, a Dallas-based business advisory firm. From 2000-2014, Mr. Smith was Senior Director and Head of Credit Research and then President and CEO of ORIX Corporate Capital, a subsidiary of ORIX Corporation, a global financial services firm. From 1994-2000, Mr. Smith assumed progressive levels of responsibility at Baltimore-based Allfirst Bank, eventually leading the Communications Banking Unit as Senior Vice President.
Mr. Smith is a summa cum laude graduate of St. Mary’s College of Maryland and received an MBA, Finance from the University of Maryland. He serves as a board member or advisor to several companies and non-profit organizations. Mr. Smith resides in Dallas with his wife and two children.
